What Is Message Reactions Feature in WhatsApp?

If you have seen that post, you may get the hint that initially, you will get only six emoji reactions such as like, love, surprise, laugh, thank you, sad, and thank you for reading.

However, users may have the option in the future to use all of the emojis, which has been confirmed through beta testing. Meanwhile, if a new update is released, users may be able to send GIFs and stickers via their messaging app along with emojis.

If you haven’t seen this functionality yet, message reactions will appear directly below a message.

What Are The More Features That Appear in This Update?

As per the latest reports, along with the WhatsApp message reactions feature, users may also get the automatic chat disappearing mode. This means that if you enabled this feature, then the chat will automatically disappear after a particular time period.

How to Use and Update WhatsApp Message Reactions Feature?

To use the WhatsApp Message reactions feature, you need to first update your WhatsApp app from PlayStore or App Store. However, once the app gets updated with the latest patch, follow these steps:

  1. Start by going to any chat room you want to participate in.
  2. You can respond to a message by holding it for a few seconds.
  3. Once you have completed this step, you will see six different emojis in a pop-up window.
  4. Emojis can be used by dragging your thumb/finger to one of your choices and leaving it there.
  5. You will be able to take a look at the response to that message once it’s posted.WhatsApp Reactions

Since many messages can be sent in a group chat, this feature will be especially useful when group conversations grow overwhelming. You do not need to compose a separate reply with the reactions function. You simply hold the screen and tap to reply. This reduces overall response time by a significant amount.
