EA Cricket is a half-baked game for multiple reasons. First of all, the game is a downgraded version of Cricket 19. Graphics are not up to the mark. The player creator section has fewer features compared to Cricket19. In fact, a mobile game can have better features, too many bugs, game crashes, and the community doesn’t work.
Due to the consistency in bugs and the continued progress of updating the game, it seems as though big any bit off more than they could chew. In addition, there are huge FPS drops in Cricket 22, but that I find curable. So, here in this guide, I’ve mentioned some tricks to improve the performance of Cricket 22 by resolving the FPS drop issue.
How To Fix Cricket 22 FPS Drops to Improve Game Performance
Unfortunately, the Cricket 22 game has a lot of issues, such as licensed teams Aus & Eng have exact looking players, but other licensed teams like NZ and WI have very few exact looking players, graphics look too bright, team jerseys look blurry and bad.
Also, the most frustrating thing you cant preview stadiums before selecting which was there in an earlier game. Anyway, we are not here to tell you about this game, then let come back to what we are here today.

Fix 1: Reboot The Device
This is not actually a fix, but you must reboot your device before performing any of the further mentioned methods. Rebooting your device will ensure that if the FPS drops issue occurs due to some temporary bug file or glitches, it will automatically get fixed. So, it is highly recommended to reboot your device once and check if the issue gets resolved or not.
Fix 2: Close Unnecessary Tasks
Technically, this is our first fix. You have to make sure that there should be no unnecessary programs are running in the background. Meanwhile, we suggest you close everything while playing the Cricket 22 on your Windows 11 PC.
However, to do so, open the Task Manager and close every unnecessary application that you were located in the processes tab. Then, hit the end task button. That’s it. Now, try running the game and check if this fix helps you to improve game performance by stabilizing the FPS or not.
Fix 3: Update Graphics Driver
Another fix that has the potential to fix the performance-related issues. So, if you haven’t updated your GPU driver recently, then you must check out if there is any GPU driver update available or not. To check for updates, you can simply hover to the Device Manager and expand the Display Tab, then right-click on your GPU manufacturer name and hit the Update Driver button.
Considerably, if this method won’t help, then check out your GPU manufacturer’s official website and check there is any update available for your device or not.
Fix 4: Set To High Power Priority
By default, your Windows 11 PC’s power plan is set to balance; therefore, many users reported that after setting it to high power priority, the issue gets fixed. So, you can also try this out, and here are the steps that you need to follow:
- Initially, press Windows + R button simultaneously. This will open the Run box and search for Control to open the control panel.
- After that, tap on the Hardware and Sound and navigate to the Power Options.
- That’s it. Now, finally, select the High-Performance option.
Fix 5: Disable SysMain Service on Windows
SysMain service takes care of your PC’s performance for a period of time by keeping everything set according to your device specs. So, it is possible that this may be lowering down or capping FPS while you are gaming. Therefore, disabling it might be the best choice for you.
- Go to the Start menu and search for Services.
- After that, locate and double-click on the SysMain Service. Then, hit the Stop button.
- Once done, simply reboot your whole system and run the game to check if the FPS drops issue gets resolved or not.
Fix 6: Lower Down The In-Game Graphics
Are you play Cricket 22 with high in-game graphics settings? If so, this might be the reason behind the FPS drops issue. So, we suggest you tweak some changes and keep the in-game graphics at a lower level.
In addition, set the FPS capping between the 30/60FPS. Then, close the game and rerun it. After that, you’ll find that now you got an improved game performance on Cricket 22.
I’m a huge fan of EA Cricket as it’s my childhood love because this was the game that I used to play during my childhood. However, these kinds of issues really make fans very disheartening.
