Speak with Saladin in the Tower to start Forging Iron. He will give you an Iron Quest that you have to complete. Before going any further, make sure you have done the two things mentioned below.

#1. Equip a Void or Solar Subclass

After you have talked with Saladin, you would need to complete one of the daily challenges if you want to complete Forging Iron.

You will be rewarded with a Pinnacle gear drop after you have been knocked out in three matches. You will have more reputation for playing in the event.

#2. Equip Iron Banner Armor

Once you have started the Forging Iron mission, you would need to earn rank points to complete games that require you to equip Iron Banner armor. For every single piece of armor you have on you, your rank multiplier will increase 4x.

You need 300 rank points when you start your Iron Quest. The grind would go faster if you have Iron Banner gear or ornaments equipped yourself. The more you win, the more points you will get from building up streaks of completed Iron Banner matches.
